Senior night saw South Bend Washington bidding farewell to Kristina Mills, Amanda Starnes, and 4 year letter winner Megan Ford. The match versus New Prairie and Mishawaka went stroke for stroke until Mishawaka pulled away and New Prairie edged the Panthers. Erin Czyz was medalist firing a front nine score of 48 at El Bel. New Prairie’s phenom Kara Blair did not make the trip due to illness but the rest of the team hung in there to sneak by Washington by a narrow margin. Washington’s sophomore duo came to play today showing glimpses of what is to come. Breanna Ciesielski shot a 53 while teammate Krystyna Shepley chupped in a 60, both personal bests. Washington, who started the year with a 300 for 9 holes, also improved to a team best 346. Washington travels to Sprig-o-Mint Thursday to battle Marian and host Bremen.
